Come See What I'm Working On + Irish β Chain Quilt TutorialsHello friends! I'm excited to have a lot of new friends who are joining us from the Quilter's Paradise Summit that happened this week. If you're new to the weekly Saturday email dispatch, Welcome! We're all so excited that you'd join us! This week I'm sharing a little bit of what's happening behind the scenes in my sewing room right now. Every month I write a What's On My Sewing Table post with a casual peek into the current and ongoing projects that I'm making - from works in progress to new fabric pulls, quilting plans, and bits of everyday creative life. Normally I'm terrible at labeling quilts, but I used some selvage to label one of my latest projects for the most perfect, serendipitous baby gift. π₯° Click below to see the latest updates plus links to the free quilt block challenges I'm working on!

If you're new here, you can read the story behind this quilt here. It's a bittersweet story, but sentimental to me. I can't believe it's been 17 years since I made this quilt! I'm happy to report that this boy is a busy high school senior now. I love this boy so much. This was also the first of many flag quilts that I've loved making over the years. We have had an unseasonably warm winter and spring has come early this year. My daffodils are already blooming and the blossoms on my ornamental plum trees started blooming yesterday - about 3 full weeks earlier than normal! I have mixed feelings about this. Some feelings of enjoying the cheerful flowers after the end of winter, and other lazy feelings where I now need to get out and start doing yard work, and I'm not excited about that. lol At the same time, March is still being March - which some days means "spring is here!" but the next day means, "just kidding! It's going to snow and be 32 degrees outside today!" Hang in there to all of you friends who are still battling a long winter where you are. Still, I'm feeling optimistic for warmer temperatures is on the horizon. I hope you have a great week ahead including wearin' a little green πon Tuesday, or just more daylight hours in your life. Oh my goodness - so much eye candy and inspiration. This is a show for vendors from the Sewing, Quilting and Knitting industries to share their upcoming products and collections for the coming year to shops and consumers. (It's an industry event for vendors only and not open to the public.) I had big plans to write up some of the things I...
Over 25 Quilt + Project Ideas using Precut 5" squares (aka Charm Packs) Hi friends! Thanks so much for checking in! I've got some fun things to share with you this week. First of all, any guesses of what is my favorite invention of the quilting universe in the past 20+ years? I know it's pretty gutsy to make a statement that bold, but I still stand by this opinion. My favorite invention is the creation of pre-cut and pre-coordinated fabric squares. I still remember the first time I...
Americana Quilt Ideas + A New Quilt Along + Ideas for sorting and using your scraps Happy Weekend, everyone! I hope this week's edition finds you as well as possible. I've been making quilts inspired by American folk art, the US Flag and other Americana-inspired motifs since 2001. Quilting has a tradition of commemorating special occasions or historical events with handmade keepsakes. As we approach America's 250th anniversary this year, I've put together a list of ideas for anyone who feels...
