A Favorite Fat Quarter Quilt + Printable Quilt Size Guide + More Fall SewingHello quilting friends! I hope this email finds you doing well. Excited to share some pretty things with you today including a finally-finished-WIP that's perfect to make with 5" precuts, a free printable Quilt Size Guide, and more scrappy fall/Halloween sewing inspiration. Finally Finished! A Liberty Quilt Goes to the CoastFour-ish years in the making, and this quilt is finally finished! π Iβm sharing my Simple Simon quilt made with Libertyβs Coastal Walk florals. And bonus - I got to take the quilt with me to the seaside when we went to visit family in New Hampshire a few weeks ago. Wait until you see how perfectly the flowers at the beach matched the fabric! There are also a handful of quilt kits available if you also love the look of traditional Liberty florals in classic blue. Plus that pinch of chartreuse for the added punch! This finish has me happy for a few reasons - A) it just feels so good to get a project done and out of the WIP (Work In Progress) pile. And B) this quilt also makes me think of my friend Robby who helped me with piecing the blocks a few years ago. She has since moved away and I'm glad to have this happy reminder of our friendship. Love you, Robby! The pattern is simple and charm-pack-friendly. It is still available in my book, Fabulously Fast Quilts, but I am also working on an expanded stand-alone version of the pattern with 5 different quilt sizes that will be released next month. Stay tuned!
Free Printable Quilt Size GuideMaybe you're like me and can never remember the standard sizes for bed quilts and have to google "Standard Quilt Size Guide" too frequently. Well good news - Melanie Collette has put together a free printable guide for standard quilts sizes. And it also includes standard mattress sizes for reference as well.
Fun Finds on the Web - More Fall Patchwork InspirationI love this free, scrappy Leaf quilt block pattern from The Crafty Quilter. They would make such a gorgeous quilt - and another great way to use up fallish fabric scraps. Another super cute Halloween quilt that I've seen a lot the past few years is the scrappy Ghost Party quilt pattern. Not last-minute maybe, but you can always save it for next year. If you're looking for an added challenge, Kristy Lea of Quiet Play has a cool FPP (Foundation Paper Piecing) Pumpkin pattern. And if you want to make it even more fancy, check out the beautiful table runner pattern here. Modern quilter, Amy Friend, has a really cool modern-quilt version of a spider web block (also FPP). I came across this list of Quilter's Affirmations shared by Erica of Kitchen Table Quilting a couple of years ago and loved them just as much when I went looking for them again this year. It's been a heavy week here. As I mentioned in last week's newsletter, we had a sudden loss in our family of a very wonderful brother-in-law. I'm writing my newsletter ahead of time this week and scheduling to send as we'll be with family all day on Saturday gathering for a funeral and family time. I don't have any deep thoughts today - I don't have the bandwidth for them. I'm still in the processing part of it all. Thank you to many of you who have sent kind notes. I know that many of you have experienced similar losses or other forms of grief. Man - it's just hard. And everyone processes differently. The beautiful thing I've witnessed this week is humans giving each other grace to process this loss in whatever manner they need to. And that has been inspiring. And a great example to me. Wishing you and yours the very best. xo. AmyIf you would like to stop receiving this content, please click unsubscribe below. βVisit my Pattern Shop to see these popular designs |

Free Halloween Sewing Projects + How to Declutter and Destash and restore your Sewjo Greetings friends! Hope your weekend is treating you well. While I'm enjoying the fall season, I'm still in a little bit of denial that September is almost over. I haven't really felt in the Halloween mood yet, but Trader Joe's and my calendar are reminding me that October is almost here, so today I started pulling out some of my Halloween dΓ©cor. That also inspired me to put together a fun list of Halloween...
